Changpeng Zhao (CZ), a leading figure in the cryptocurrency industry, said crypto assets could become as ubiquitous as the internet in the next five years. Speaking in an interview with Scott Melker, Zhao expressed his belief that crypto technology will become an integral part of everyday life.
According to Zhao, cryptocurrencies will become more widely adopted and mainstream through the expansion of use cases and technological advancements. Specifically, CZ emphasized that blockchain technology would not be limited to financial transactions, foreseeing its widespread use in various areas such as data storage.
Zhao also highlighted that artificial intelligence (AI) would make a significant contribution to the crypto and blockchain ecosystem, saying that AI technologies would accelerate software development processes and facilitate the emergence of new applications. CZ also suggested that in the future, AI agents could become one of the main players using cryptocurrencies.
Zhao identified the Internet, blockchain and artificial intelligence as the three most critical technology areas today. He said countries that fail to adopt any of these technologies could face a significant competitive disadvantage, and highlighted the need for governments and institutions to invest more in these technologies.
Experts point out that widespread adoption of cryptocurrencies requires clear regulation, user-friendly applications and strong security infrastructure, while Zhao’s predictions indicate the sector’s long-term growth potential.
