Ripple joins a major pilot project in Singapore, one of the financial centers of Asia! Here are the details

Ripple, a developer of blockchain-based payment solutions, has joined a major pilot project in Singapore, one of Asia’s financial hubs. The company participated in BLOOM, a cross-border payments testing environment led by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS).

As part of this initiative, Ripple will collaborate with Unloq, a company operating in the supply chain finance technology sector, to test a new payment system. The pilot aims to automatically process commercial payments once certain conditions are met. These conditions include in particular verification of the successful completion of the shipment.

In the tested system, payments will be processed via RLUSD, a stable cryptocurrency developed by Ripple. The goal is to complete transactions both faster and at lower cost. Experts say these automated payment mechanisms could potentially reduce delays and operational risks, especially in international trade.

The BLOOM program, managed by MAS, provides a “sandbox” environment designed to support financial innovation and test real-world use cases for new technologies. Ripple’s participation in this program is seen as part of its strategy to strengthen its role in the global payments infrastructure.

Analysts say that if successful, this pilot program could contribute to broader adoption of blockchain-based stablecoin solutions in commercial payments.
