In an official statement, the organizers explained that the decision was not easy, noting that preparations were going well, but ensuring the safety of participants and the ability of the global cryptocurrency community to attend the conference in usual numbers and quality was a top priority.
The move comes just days after organizers confirmed the event would go ahead despite other conferences being suspended due to escalating tensions in the region.
