XRP Ledger Dev Issues Alert on Fake “Pass” Fraudulent Targeting Wallets

$XRP Ledger developer and Xaman founder Wietse Wind issued an alert to $XRP community regarding scams targeting wallet holders.

In such scams, the scammer sends fake NFTs with the aim of offering an unsuspecting victim to exchange something in return. According to recent reports, scammers are scouring offers made from wallets for NFTs, copying or duplicating and creating from another wallet to offer them for sale to unsuspecting users.

In another such scam attempt, a scammer creates a website with a fake Xaman domain and sends an offer, a pass to join a closed beta of Xaman.

With this in mind, Wind reported a fake Xaman $NFT In a recent tweet, warning the $XRP community that the wallet provider does not send “passes” or “NFTs”. These, he said, are sent by scammers.

The wind pushes $XRP holders to cancel these offers and never engage or accept. Like fake $NFT offers proliferate, users are advised to exercise caution and verify the portfolio addresses of artists and projects before accepting any offers.

This follows similar warnings in recent times $XRP wallet. Fake support accounts are reported as one of the most common XRPL scam vectors. Real Support will never ask for seed phrases or ask users to sign a transaction or “verify” their wallet and will not contact users via X, Discord, or unsolicited DMs.

Wind shares some tips for staying safe $XRP Users: They should never commit to anything they don’t trust, never accept offers they didn’t ask for or don’t understand, only use in-app support, never share their secrets, and never sign anything that seems too good to be true.

What happens in March?

According to the official XRPL blog, $XRP Ledger Devnet is scheduled to reset on Tuesday, March 3, 2026.

Resetting will delete all ledger data in the devnet, including all accounts, transactions, balances, settings, offers, AMMs, escrows, and other data.

Crypto is just one day away from the highly anticipated March 1 deadline to address the Clarity Act’s reward provisions. Analysts expect this potential development to be the main driver of markets heading into March.
