While Bitcoin broke records last year, altcoins performed more moderately. Altcoin investors, disappointed by the 2025 surge, are looking forward to the period to come.
At this point, popular analyst Michael van de Poppe claims that the altcoin’s long-standing downtrend is finally coming to an end.
In his latest YouTube video, the analyst said his confidence in altcoins remains unchanged, adding that around 98% of his portfolio is currently allocated to altcoins, but he does not plan to hold them all forever.
Poppe said his strategy involves alternating between different coins, trading actively during market fluctuations and taking profits during rallies, adding that he plans to gradually increase his holdings in Bitcoin, Ethereum and cash to mitigate risks.
Poppe also revealed some of his altcoin picks, stating that he is particularly focused on the altcoin Avalanche.
The analyst, who recently invested $3,000, said he plans to buy more if $AVAX It regains the $7 level and then forms an upward divergence. He added that he plans to make this investment between $7,000 and $10,000.
Poppe declares that he believes $AVAXThe growing RWA activity makes its current valuation attractive.
Second, Poppe said his focus is on altcoin. $NEARexplaining that $NEAR rose from around $1.20 to $3.50, during which time he sold some of his holdings and plans to be more active during future corrections.

Finally, Poppe, who also mentioned that $AAVE is in his altcoin wallet, pointed out that there is an important signal for $AAVE Also.
