Now that the bug has been detected, the vet noticed that the validators were changing positions, changing their votes to “no”.
Vet clarifies that the XRPL mainnet is not affected, as both changes – including the batch transaction – have not gone live. He added that the next $XRP The software update will include a new bug-fixed batch amendment for voting.
Bug detection occurs as $XRP Ledger participants tested the feature, as advised by Ripple engineer Mayukha Vadari.
As reported, Vadari urged $XRP Ledger users state that if they need an upcoming change for their project, they should review the XLS specification and make sure it works for them. This helps prevent problems that might be too late to correct, because the earlier a problem is detected, the easier it is to resolve.
Batch transaction and “fixbatchinnersigs” modification
The proposed batch transactions functionality allows for atomic execution of multiple transactions and will make it even easier for developers to create applications capable of generating revenue directly on-chain.
This amendment, long awaited by the community at large, makes it much easier to offer paid features, automate workflows and create revenue-generating applications.
The fixbatchinnersigs amendment fixes an issue where internal transactions in a batch transaction would be reported as having valid signatures.
